From idea to installation
clear guidance, step by step.
At Ma Kaban Atypik, we support you throughout your mobile home, tiny house, habitable cabin or prefabricated garage project, from the very first conversation through to delivery. Our aim: to offer you a modern, comfortable, ready-to-live-in solution, with a simple, transparent and well-managed journey.
Initial discussion
We start by understanding your project:
- the type of product you want;
- intended use: second home, self-contained studio, holiday let, garage, office, annexe;
- location of the plot;
- estimated budget;
- desired timeframe;
- access and installation constraints.
This conversation helps us steer you towards the most suitable model.
Feasibility study
Before any order, we analyse the main technical points:
- plot dimensions;
- lorry access;
- unloading options;
- whether a crane lift is needed;
- type of foundation or base required;
- possible utility connections;
- visible constraints of the project.
The customer should also contact their local authority or planning department to check which permissions are required for their land, intended use and planned installation period.
Choosing the model and options
We present the available models and customisation options:
- floor area;
- interior layout;
- finishes;
- insulation;
- openings;
- equipment;
- comfort options;
- technical features;
- aesthetic choices.
Every project can be tailored to your needs, within the technical limits of the chosen model. You are also welcome to visit our tiny houses at our offices: Rue Édouard Branly, ZI Pied de la Montagne, 69170 Tarare, France.
Detailed quote
Once the model and options are confirmed, we draw up a detailed quote listing everything included in your project. The quote may specify in particular:
- the product price;
- the options selected;
- transport costs;
- any delivery or installation costs;
- what is included;
- what is not included;
- the estimated lead time;
- payment terms.
No order is placed without written acceptance of the quote.
Order confirmation
The order becomes effective after:
- acceptance of the quote;
- acceptance of the general terms of sale;
- payment of the agreed deposit;
- written confirmation of the order.
Once the order is confirmed, we start manufacturing, preparing or importing the chosen model. Payment terms: 30% deposit on order confirmation, 40% during manufacturing, 30% on delivery. Consumer customers also benefit from a 14-day right of withdrawal, under the conditions set out in the French Consumer Code.
Manufacturing, preparation and import
Depending on the product selected, our models may require a manufacturing, preparation or import phase. We track your order and keep you informed of the key stages:
- production;
- inspection;
- preparation for dispatch;
- transport;
- arrival;
- delivery scheduling.
As a guide, allow around 4 months for this phase. Lead times may vary depending on the model, the time of year, transport, customs formalities and logistical constraints.
Site preparation
Before delivery, the site must be ready to receive the product. Depending on the project, you may need to plan for:
- a slab;
- pads;
- suitable foundations;
- lorry access;
- an unloading area;
- a crane lift;
- water, electricity, drainage or internet connections.
These points must be settled before delivery to avoid any hold-ups during installation.
Delivery and installation
We arrange delivery according to the terms set out in the quote. On receipt, the product is inspected together with the customer. Any visible issue must be reported immediately at the time of delivery.
Depending on the chosen offer, installation can be carried out by our team, by a partner contractor or by the customer, as specified in the quote.
Handover and ongoing support
Once the product is delivered or installed, we remain on hand to help you get to know your new space. We can advise you on:
- day-to-day use;
- maintenance;
- additional options;
- possible improvements;
- after-delivery follow-up.
